TerraScan European Users' Event 2008

Terrasolid European Users' Event 2008 will be held in Pyhätunturi, Finnish Lapland. It provides you with the latest tips, tricks and upcoming trends of the processing and displaying either airborne or vehicle based laser data and images with Terrasolid software suite.

Whole event is four day long, beginning from Tuesday, February 12th, 2008 and ends on Friday, February 15th. The first day is targeted for beginners and the rest three days for beginners as well as more advanced users. During the days you have an excellent opportunity to discuss with developers and other users alike.

  • 16:15 Closure. You don't need to go home but you can't drink anymore on Terrasolid tab.

Training Requirements

Laptop is required for training. For efficient working, computer should meet the following criteria:

• 2 GB available RAM (Windows x86) or preferable 3 GB RAM under Windows x86_64
• + 10 GB free disk space.
• Powerful processor: core-duo or better
• High resolution monitors, preferable 2
• MicroStation V8 Edition or earlier version Se/J (MicroStation XP not supported)
• Administrator’s rights for installing software and copying data.

Accommodation

Please note, that Terrasolid doesn't handle accommodations anymore, and finding a accommodation is up to participiant from now on. For those whom have registered before 1. of February, Terrasolid has provided two choises:

• For more conservative, one can stay at Hotel Pyhätunturi (seen in image). Prices are 75 € for single room, and for double room 102 €, which both include breakfast.
• For those who want to experience true nature and peace of Lapland, Terrasolid has made a preparatios for a possibility to rent a stub cottages, which are located at near vicinity of the Hotel. Prices are 510 € per cottage from Monday 11. to Saturday 16., Each cottage can accommodate 2-4 persons. Breakfast at Hotel Pyhätunturi is included. See here for cottage list.

To avoid confusions, please do not book rooms or cottages without informing Terrasolid.

Registration, pricing and payments

To register to the user event, you can fill either brochures' registration form from page 3, or fill in the webform.

Fees are at reasonable 100€ (plus VAT 22%) at a day per person, which includes training materials, break refreshments, and other Terrasolid organized evening leisure events.

If you stay in the hotel,

Reservation: until 31st January to Terrasolid, that after please reserve your room directly from the hotel.
Payments: directly to the hotel, when you check out.
Terms of cancelling the room: 24 hours before your arrival by phone at +358 16 856 111. If you do not cancel in time, the hotel invoices you for 150 €.

If you stay in the cottage,

Terrasolid invoices you for the accommodation and the training fees afterwards.
