TerraModeler is designer's first selection when it concerns creating, editing and using ground surfaces.
It forms a nice combination whether you are processing laser data with TerraScan or survey data from GPS or total stations with TerraSurvey or you are designing streets with TerraStreet and pipe lines with TerraPipe and TerraGas. Many siteworks can be designed alone with TerraModeler and MicroStation.
It creates surface models (TIN) of ground, soil layers or design elements by reading in laser points, graphical design elements or XYZ text files. Versatile functions to edit TINs and display them
as contours, colored networks, profiles as well as calculate volumes between TINs make TerraModeler a powerful package for many environmental design purposes.
You can visualize surface models by contours, grid, numbers, shaded surface etc. Shaded surface is very useful because it let you by interactive viewing identify and validate the class of laser points. The surface model and the screen display updates immediately to reflect the changes.
TerraModeler keeps open surface models in the RAM memory of the computer. This feature allows you to use unlimited number of modelling points and different TINs linked to the same design file during the same session.
